During the late 80's Rex Buckingham ran weekly poetry readings on Saturday afternoons at the Rochester Castle Hotel. Rex and Peter Tiernan (Freddie) collated an anthology drawn from the poets who regulary attended the readings. In those days, first up on stage got to read, this arrangement was later changed to announcing readers from a list.
I took the following photos during that time.....Pamela Sidney

The fella to the left of A.P is Roy; known as "Roy Boy" in those days. He wasn't a gifted speaker by any means, but he seemed to dig the poetry and followed the scene around. His big passion was the fun-run.
